The ballet at the Sydney Opera House — Little stories #2

One weekend a friend of mine was coming to visit Sydney. We'd said it would be cool to see something at the opera house once in our lives. I check the website: a ballet for $70 minimum, a concert for $100, a bit pricey for our wallets right now. I keep browsing the events and find a ballet for $25, cheap and on top of that there's a glass of bubbly included! It only lasts 45 minutes but for the price we won't complain. Right, let's grab the tickets.

I mention it later to my flatmate: a cheap ballet at the opera house, so cool! He finds it odd and asks to see the event. He reads the description; it's indeed about a ballet, but it's an artistic director talking for 45 minutes… Oops, what do we do? It's going to be tricky to resell tickets for an artistic director's blah-blah in just ten or so hours.

Let's stay open to new experiences, so we went anyway. People were at least 50, they were laughing and we didn't get why, but we had a glass of bubbly at the opera house with a magnificent sunset.
